Seftonite (Bloodstone)

Also known as African Bloodstone (also called heliotrope), Seftonite is a pale mossy green and dark red chalcedony. The color of these beads are a translucent background of olive to forest green with strikes of red, a characteristic feature of seftonite.

It is a unique type of chalcedony with mossy-green and strikes of red throughout the stone. Though it is often sold as a bloodstone, it is a separate type of chalcedony that may also be related to moss agate. Found in India, Africa, Australia.
